Aromatherapy has been in existence for Centuries. In ancient times, people used Essential Oils from everything to relaxation to immune enhancement to balance the body for common and not-so-common ailments. The oils come from many different parts of the plants including the bark, berries or fruit, the trees, etc. Nature's Sunshine Essential Oils' quality is unsurpassed. Because it may take an enormous quantity of a plant or flower to produce a small amount of oils, some companies may dilute their purity by adding other ingredients, otherwise they would have to charge a higher price. All oils are definitely not equal. Only the finest quality pure oils are used in Nature's Sunshine Essential Oils. The company uses Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry as a part of quality assurance in order to insure that the products are 100% oils. A word about applications:Essential Oils are extremely concentrated. Some oils such as Lavender Oil or Tea Tree Oil have been used undiluted directly on the skin, but it is suggested that the remaining oils be blended in Nature's Sunshine Massage Oil or carrier oil for usages. Remember that some oils are so potent that they may aggravate the skin if not diluted. As a guide to using oils, one tablespoon of Nature's Sunshine Massage oil may be used with anywhere from 4 to 15 drops of essential oils, depending on uses.
